Michael C. Bramhall, P.E., P.S., CPESC
President B.S. Civil Engineering, University of Cincinnati Mr. Bramhall has over 33 years of experience in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying. He has served as Lead Design Engineer on many public infrastructure projects and Project Engineer and Field Engineer on several large-scale design/build projects throughout the United States. Mr. Bramhall is Founder and President of Bramhall Engineering & Surveying Company and oversees all major business activities for the firm. Mr. Bramhall has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He is a Professional Engineer registered in the State of Ohio (No. 61797) and a Professional Land Surveyor registered in the State of Ohio (No. 8073).

Christopher L. Howard, P.E., CPESC
Vice President, Partner B.S. Civil Engineering, Michigan State University Chris has twenty-three (23) years of experience in delivering civil engineering projects, primarily in highway, structural, residential, commercial and drainage improvements. In addition to general and specific project oversight as the Vice President, he is actively involved in the day to day operations of the firm. He carefully considers potential future projects, to ensure the work can be completed accurately, thoroughly, and within budget, and that the commitments the firm assumes can be delivered on time. He also ensures each design assignment has the staffing and resources needed to deliver high quality, constructible plans on time and within budget. Chris is prequalified with ODOT as a Construction Project Engineer 1 and 2.
Aaron Appell, P.E., CPESC, CPMSM Principal Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Cleveland State University Aaron has seventeen (17) years of experience in field surveying, construction layout, roadway design, project management, and project engineering for various project types, including widening and resurfacing, local bridge projects, and enhancement projects. As one of Bramhall’s lead project managers in our municipal services division, he has participated in numerous public improvement projects in urban locations. Aaron's background allows him to contribute innovative, cost-effective solutions to project design challenges, which has benefited many of our clients who are retro-fitting proposed improvements within existing site constraints in urban areas. His diverse experience in urban settings allows him to make educated decisions to fulfill the intent of the project, while minimizing the impact to surrounding properties. He also has a strong background in navigating through municipal governments, as well as being mindful of the impacts a project may have on residents and business owners, working with them to mitigate changes and construction difficulties due to the impact of an infrastructure improvement on existing properties. |

Amy M. Kelly, P.S.
Principal, Surveying Manager B.S. Surveying and Mapping, University of Akron Amy has over twenty-four (24) years of experience in Surveying and Civil/Site design projects. Amy manages the survey department to ensure that the fieldwork is completed, mapped, and reviewed to deliver directly to our clients or to our Engineering Department as the basis for design. Keeping the lines of communication open between the field staff that collects the data and the office staff that is using it is key. Amy has been involved in many complex boundary surveys, lot splits and consolidation surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys and topographic surveys. Amy knows what it takes to get the job done and get it completed correctly. Her experience allows her to make sure the needs of the client are met while satisfying the requirements of the City and/or County in which the work is being performed. Amy has a Bachelor of Science in Surveying and Mapping from The University of Akron and she is a Professional Surveyor in the State of Ohio (No. 8469). |

Valerie L. Kilmer, P.E.
Project Manager B.S. Civil Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Ms. Kilmer has 30 years of experience in project management and design of highway and roadway improvement plans, having served in both the private and public sectors. Most recently, Ms. Kilmer has served as the Project Manager for several ODOT-Let and Local-Let Safety projects, comprising both roadway and multi-modal improvements, as well as corridor studies in Amherst and Lorain. Ms. Kilmer also has a wide background in public involvement activities, including conducting public meetings and leading the public comment response effort. Prior to joining the BRAMHALL team, Ms. Kilmer served as Production Administrator for ODOT District 3 (Ashland) where she led her department in delivering the District’s Capital Improvement program to construction. This included survey, design, R/W, utility relocations, value engineering, coordination with the construction department on constructability issues, cost estimating, and the bidding process up through contract award. Ms. Kilmer was also responsible for review and approval of Local-Let scopes, and was involved during the scoping process for design standards that would be appropriate given each project’s unique setting and funding source(s). Ms. Kilmer is well versed in State and Federal requirements, as well as how the varied components that comprise a Federal-aid improvement need to be scheduled, coordinated, and combined to deliver a project to the construction phase. Ms. Kilmer has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY). |
